Karen Brown is an innovative, award winning pharmacy owner, pharmacist and entrepreneur.

Karen is the current managing partner of TerryWhite Chemmart Arana Hills.

Karen’s ownership journey began in 2008 at TerryWhite Chemmart Keperra, and in the same year became the Managing Partner of TerryWhite Chemmart Samford. In 2018 Karen became the Managing Partner of TerryWhite Chemmart Arana Hills, at the same time as selling her share at Keperra. In 2021 Karen and her partners sold the award winning TerryWhite Chemmart Samford.

In 2021 Karen was recognised with Australia Day Honours being awarded the Dickson Small Business Person of the Year. In 2018, Karen was awarded the prestigious TerryWhite Chemmart Pharmacist of the Year for her dedication to improving the health and wellbeing of her community and her Samford pharmacy won the National TerryWhite Chemmart Pharmacy of the Year. Karen has been a member of the TerryWhite Chemmart Advisory Board since 2018 and is a 4 time finalist in the prestigious Rhonda White Leadership Award.

In 2018 she co-founded the Innovative Pharmacy Group, a collective group of like-minded pharmacists to share wisdom, experiences and better ways to improve their own businesses and the Pharmacy industry as a whole. In 2019 Karen, a former Queensland Firebird Netballer, founded Batch Tested – an online platform for athletes and sporting teams to have easy and safe access to certified and tested sport supplements.
Karen is first and foremost a pharmacist and pharmacy owner but overall an entrepreneur making the most of opportunities and combining her passions for pharmacy, sport, business and people. She is constantly challenging the status quo and takes great pride in coaching her teams to be the best they can be as individuals and as a business.
